Eva Levin and Colin Ratcliff met during the summer of 2019 in Boston. Immediately after meeting they wrote “you don’t know me (any better now)” and released it to Bandcamp. Over the next 2 weeks they wrote the rest of the music that came to be “312,” the number of the dorm the music was recorded in.

After the project had been recorded and released the band met drummer Aidan Shapero and solidified as a band.
